Belt conveyors may sometimes experience belt deviation during use. To address this issue, the following methods are available for reference:
Firstly, adjust the position of the load-bearing roller group. When the belt of the belt conveyor deviates in the middle, we can solve it by adjusting the position of the roller group. During manufacturing, the installation holes on both sides of the roller group are machined into long holes for easy adjustment. The specific method is to move the roller group on one side forward towards the direction of the belt if the belt is tilted to one side; Alternatively, move the roller group on the other side back. If the belt deviates upwards, move the lower roller group to the left and the upper roller group to the right.
Secondly, install the centering roller group. There are various types of centering roller groups, such as intermediate rotary shaft type, four link type, vertical roller type, etc. The principle of the centering roller group is to generate lateral thrust by blocking or rotating the roller in the horizontal plane, causing the belt to automatically center, thereby adjusting the problem of belt deviation. Generally speaking, when the total length of the conveyor is short or when it operates in both directions, it is more reasonable to use a centering roller group method. Because shorter transport planes are more prone to deviation and are not easily adjusted. However, it should be noted that the use of the centering roller group may have a certain impact on the service life of the belt, so it is not recommended to use it on long haul conveyors.
Once again, adjust the position of the drive drum and the directional drum. By adjusting the position of the driving drum and the redirecting drum, the problem of belt deviation can also be solved. This method is more reasonable when the total length of the conveyor is short or when it operates in both directions. Because shorter transport planes are more prone to deviation and are not easily adjusted. However, this method is not suitable for long haul conveyors as it will have a certain impact on the service life of the belt.
Installing a guide device is also an effective method to solve the problem of belt deviation. The guide device can adjust the deviation by changing the direction of belt movement. The specific type and installation position of the guide device can be selected according to the actual situation.
According to different situations, we can adopt corresponding solutions to solve the problem of belt deviation in belt conveyors. However, before proceeding with the operation, please cut off the power supply and take necessary safety measures to ensure the safety of the operators. Only by ensuring the normal operation of the belt conveyor can we improve production efficiency, reduce production costs, and ensure the safety of employees.
